Rock Creek Park has quite a storied history. American Indians were some of the first to use its quarried rock outcroppings to make tools, fished in the creek and hunted in its woods. Later, in the 1600 to 1700s, European Americans began claiming the land and Georgetown was soon chartered at the mouth of Rock Creek. Kalorama is the perfect neighborhood for families. Cozy and close to all the amenities of Dupont Circle, Kalorama real estate is some of the costliest (and most gorgeous) in the city. The neighborhood is home to the Obama family (at least until Sasha finishes high school) and many other high-profile members of D.C.’s elite.
