While the neighborhood hosts all comers, the majority these days are college-educated professionals in their late twenties and early thirties. Unsurprisingly, it is rarer to find households with children in Logan Circle, but the neighborhood's busy streets allow for conveniences and nightlife not found in the District's family-friendlier neighborhoods.

Like neighboring Shaw, Logan Circle is ultimately named for a Union Army Commander and began to take shape and find its identity following the American Civil War. The majority of its gorgeous Victorian houses were built between 1870 and 1900. With housing prices as high as they are, it should come as no surprise that Logan Circle has literally every convenience a resident could hope for. Tight-knit community

Though Logan Circle is teeming with friendly people and is predominantly residential, it's not a neighborhood where everyone knows everyone. The Logan Circle Community Association does plan some events to help neighbors socialize, block parties and street fairs are not standard. This difference between Logan Circle and somewhere like Petworth may owe to the neighborhood's thriving commercial district which attracts visitors in droves.

It is a dream of many to think of their home as extending beyond four walls and residents of Logan Circle live that dream every day. The convenience of Logan Circle cannot be overemphasized. If you're at home, whatever you need is just a block or two away, and there's no settling for the local version of the thing you really want. Part of the ultra convenience of the neighborhood is variety. Logan Circle is close to nearly of every supermarket option in DC and endless bars and restaurants.
