U Street has plenty to do for all ages. The 9:30 Club offers great music acts and coming this fall are: The Church, Back to Back, Benjamin Booker + She Keeps Bees and more. If music is life, the U Street Music Hall, an underground music venue, is hosting multiple acts. There’s Hundred Waters, Sonny Fodera and more.

There’s also the 14th and U Farmer’s Market, an urban farmer’s market that transforms a sidewalk into a lovely market setting Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in front of the Reeves Center. Grab all your essentials like fruits, veggies, bread and more.

For those who love nature, you’ll want to visit Meridian Hill Park this fall. Take in the changing leaves and see the longest cascading fountain in North America. Meridian Hill Park is also home to a Joan of Arc statue that is the only equestrian statue of a woman in DC, a Dante statue and a James Buchanan memorial.

Try new restaurants this fall at places like Dukem, an Ethiopian restaurant. The restaurant also serves authentic Ethiopian breakfast too. Also popular on U St. is the Fainting Goat, an American gastropub serving up food like Eastern Shore style crab fritters, a to-die-for cheese board and a peanut butter parfait with marshmallow fluff.
