Cathedral Heights is a bustling neighborhood in D.C. with plenty of new retail and living spaces popping up every day. Cathedral Heights is the neighborhood to live in if you hail from an international crowd, as many who live there are diplomats or work for worldly organizations like the IMF. Residents are known to call it a neighborhood where older individuals live, and many families too.

Cathedral Heights has many exciting things coming, perhaps the most eye-catching headline of late has been the news of a Wegman’s coming to anchor the Fannie Mae that is in the neighborhood. The redevelopment of Fannie Mae is set to open in 2022. There are also additional plans to open a high-end hotel and spa.

The neighborhood, of course, gets its name from the Washington National Cathedral, which is always holding multiple events and exhibits. There is also an ongoing exhibit on the cathedral’s work on restoration after the 2011 earthquake that hit the D.C. area.
