There are several bus lines that service the area, including a Circulator bus. 16th St NW, 14th St NW, and Sherman Ave NW all provide good routes to drive downtown, although parking in Columbia Heights is difficult to come by. The Capital Beltway is about six miles away to the north and Interstate 395 is two miles to the south.
Columbia Heights is situated within Northwest DC, and its boundaries are Florida Ave NW and W St NW to the south, 16th St NW to the west, Spring Rd NW to the north, and New Hampshire Ave NW and Sherman Ave NW to the east.
