The closest Metro stops are the Columbia Heights and U Street Stations on the Green and Yellow Lines and Woodley Park-Zoo-Adams Morgan Station on the Red Line. You can also take the Circulator Bus to get to Adams Morgan, using the Woodley Park-Adams Morgan-McPherson Square route. Owning a car is not a necessity if you choose to live in Adams Morgan, as there are a great deal of amenities within walking distance in the neighborhood, especially on Columbia Road. If you do wish to drive, both Connecticut Avenue NW and 16th Street NW provide good routes into downtown DC and out to the Maryland suburbs. Interstate 66 and Interstate 395 begin about three miles south of the area and head out into Virginia and the Anacostia Freeway (DC Route 295), respectively.
