H Street Corridor Condos

H Street Corridor condos include several new condo projects in this Northeast section of the District like the Maia, which includes 84 one and two bedroom units.

The Maia at 1350 Maryland Avenue is a development by Valor Development on the site of the Faith Bible Church.  It’s still in planning phases and set for delivery in 2014.

H Street is an up-and-coming area of the District. Its residents are diverse, ranging from younger professionals to young families to seniors. H Street corridor condos will help shape revitalization here, where the D.C. Government is supporting an H Street Revival plan. Part of the plan calls for support for owner-occupied and live-above-work locations.

H Street corridor condos in the pipeline also include a 22-unit project at 301 H Street, a project that will include 5,000 square feet of retail space. The property now consists of a liquor store and its parking lot, right next to a Capitol Bikeshare station.

H Street corridor is just north of Capitol Hill and border the adjacent Atlas District, another are targeted for redevelopment. Properties on the market here include a one-bedroom, 786-square-foot condo at 215 I Street listed for $549,900, one of the Landmark Lofts properties.

Also, new H Street corridor condos include the Paragon at 1367 Florida Avenue, where at least one condo lists for $419,900. That condo is two-bedroom condo, one of eight boutique condos in the project. Its condo fee is only $217 per month, which is very low compared to other condo fees in the city.

Aside from H Street corridor condos, this community also has several new apartment buildings in the works or recently complete. The Flats at Atlas studios start at about $1,500 for 472 square feet and range up to 1 bedrooms for $2,036. The complex also offers two-bedroom versions, which don’t seem to be available right now.
