14W Apartments recently started accepting renters into the building after a leasing period that started in February. The 14W apartments are 231 apartments located in a seven-story building at 14 Street and W Street NW, near the U Street corridor.
The 14W apartments are billed as “luxurious modern living in the hottest new community in the District,” as they’re close to Adams Morgan, Logan Circle and Columbia Heights as well as the U Street Corridor. The 14W apartments have a rooftop terrace, a fitness and yoga studio, a game room and clubroom and business center. The units have stainless steel appliances and other higher-end finishes like wide-plank flooring and quartz countertops, according to Simpson Property’s website.
On the ground level, below the 14W apartments, the developer has leased the space to several retailers and the 40,000-square-foot YMCA, which has a state-of-the-art indoor pool.
The many of the 14W apartments are already rented out, but there are several units left, including on the second floor, which seems to be the only floor open to renters now. Floor plans range from a studio of about 568 square feet to two bedrooms with a den of about 1,363 square feet, with prices ranging from about $2,000 to $4,700 per month.
In addition to the 14W apartments, another apartment also recently opened to renters in this neighborhood – the District, which has studios, 1BRs and 2BRs.
For buyers, there are several options for purchasing property near the 14Q apartments and its YMCA. A 3-BR Victorian row home here lists for $835,000 at 1117 S Street NW, while another row home nearby lists for $950,000 at 1914 9th Street NW, although the latter is a commercial property. A sixth-floor 1 BR condo is also on the market for $549,900 on 12th Street. These are all properties within just a few blocks of 14W apartments.
