Finding the right amount of space for an affordable price is a real challenge these days in DC. If you’re looking for an area that can do just that, Bloomingdale could be the perfect fit for you. The neighborhood is one of the smallest in the District, yet offers many three-bedroom row homes that are usually far more affordable than other parts of Northwest. Noted for its proximity to the U.S. Capitol building, Howard University, and downtown DC, Bloomingdale has been on the rise for the last few years, especially with the revitalization of nearby Shaw and NoMa. While there is no Metro stop within the neighborhood, the Shaw-Howard University stop on the yellow/green lines and the Rhode Island Avenue and NoMa-Gallaudet stops on the red line are a short…

This property is an extremely rare foreclosure in the District, as there have not been foreclosures in DC since 2010. The condo has been renovated, featuring a modern kitchen, beautiful hardwood floors, and exposed brick walls. Bloomingdale was one of Washington’s hidden gems, but is turning…

Bloomingdale real estate is increasingly in high demand as this up-and-coming neighborhood is proving ideal for young professionals and young families.

Bloomingdale real estate, located in a lesser known area of the district, is home to a hidden gem of a park in Crispus Atticus Park, which is tucked between V Street and U Street and maintained through volunteer work and donations. Bloomingdale real estate is an area just east of the hip U Street Corridor and is dominated by Victorian style row homes.

Many of the large Victorian homes here have been converted into condos, giving a variety of price points among Bloomingdale real estate. The Big Bear Café is near Bloomingdale real estate, as are the Rustik Tavern and the Boundary Stone. Howard…

The Washington DC real estate market continues to be one of the strongest in the nation. It was a busy weekend out there at open houses in DC. While I was out showing buyers homes it was sometimes challenging to get them through the doors! I believe the warmer than usual weather as well as high demand due to very low interest rates is playing a big role in the high activity level. In my opinion the warm weather has created a earlier then ever spring boom in the Washington DC real estate market. The spring market looks like it will be a continuation of the current Washington DC real estate market with perhaps a little more inventory and a lot more demand. According to MRIS the Washington DC real estate market inventory level in January was down 27.59% from…
