This is a cool building. No other flashy or more descriptive words are needed. It’s just cool. The Peninsula 88 condominium is located at Buzzards Point and is unique in that it is situated right where the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers meet. This makes for excellent and exciting views—especially from the building’s wisely considered rooftop terrace.
Southwest Waterfront’s elevation as a DC community cannot be oversold. The SW quadrant was already humming and buzzing with life, just waiting to become the next hot thing and then...along comes The Wharf. If there had previously been any doubt, the arrival of The Wharf made it official: Southwest Waterfront is a neighborhood to be reckoned with. The amenities and conveniences that the development brought with it have made the surrounding neighborhood infinitely more livable, walkable, everythingable.
One sign of a great condominium is a place where hard-working residents have the ability to relax and play and this condo is no exception. The 8-story, 110-unit condominium that is Peninsula 88 features a variety of residential floorplans ranging from 1-bed, 1-bath to 2-bed, 2.5-bath units. Each incorporating delightful aesthetic touches as well as any resident’s desire for comfort and ease. Among these glorious in-unit features are:
● Sustainably sourced wide-plank hardwood floors ● Spacious closets with customizable organization systems ● Slick kitchen finishes including quartz countertops and extra-deep cabinets ● Owner-curated appliance packages ● Floor-to-ceiling windows for dramatic, yet everyday river views.
The building includes great shared spaces such as the community room which is equipped with a catering kitchen and two large-screen TVs; as well as the aforementioned rooftop terrace which offers two fire pits, twin grills, dividable seating areas, and of course, views of the waterfront and city. Other smart building features at Peninsula 88 are security, concierge services, car-washing, dog-washing stations, storage cages, bike storage, electric vehicle docking, and refrigerated storage for food deliveries—how smart is that??
If you’re looking for a for a fresh, new home in a neighborhood that is nothing if not alive, look into Peninsula 88.
