Hailey House Coming to Columbia Heights
Hailey House, a condominium conversion project, is coming to Columbia Heights. With it’s location at 3511 13th Street, NW, Hailey House will be close to two different Metro stations -- Columbia Heights and Petworth. The new homes will also be near the eclectic restaurants, bars, and shops on 11th Street known as the "Hip Strip.”
The five-story 23,500-square-foot Hailey House will contain 25 luxury condominium units -- eight single bedroom units and 17 with two bedrooms. One bedroom units will be approximately 650 square feet, while two bedroom units will range from about 700 to 920 square feet. The building features nine different floorplans with a light or dark finish style.
Hailey House will also provide bike storage, an advanced intercom system, and security cameras. The interior of the units will feature hardwood floors, Silestone/Ceasarstone countertops, recessed lighting, spacious closets, and high efficiency HVAC systems. The kitchens will also be high-end from the European cabinets to the appliances with special slow closing drawers, built-in cutlery dividers, and under cabinet lighting. The bathrooms will continue the modern trend with contemporary sink vessels, designer vanity lights, Porcelanosa ceramic tiles, and energy efficient toilets.
The Columbia Heights property was purchased by the developer, Madison Investments, in May 2012. Construction on Hailey House began shortly afterward in June 2012. First they tackled demolition, as well as roof and window work. Then they completed framing, structural items, and utility setup. In the third phase, HVAC, electric, gas, and plumbing were installed. Next up will be insulation and drywall, with trims and finishes to follow in the fifth and final phase. The entire project should be complete in April 2013.
Pricing for units has not officially been published by the developer, but they are said to be in the $300Ks up to the mid 400Ks. According to DC Urban Turf, condo pre-sales are starting this month in Hailey House.
