The neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and gives off the vibe of being a remote English village, which is exactly what planners had in made when they modeled it after Bath, England. Foxhall Village does not have much in the way of restaurants and shops other than the ever-popular Jetties sandwich and salad shop, but nearby neighborhoods Palisades and Georgetown have a wealth of options. Georgetown University and George Washington University’s Mount Vernon campus border Foxhall Village, and the neighborhood is home to many graduate students. The neighborhood is home to the Embassy of Germany and the Embassy of France is a short walk away in Burleith. In addition to Glover-Archbold Park, residents have the convenience of the Capital Crescent Trail and two playgrounds in the neighborhood: Reservoir and Hardy.
