Berkley Features & Amenities

Berkley, sometimes called Foxhall Crescent after a development within the area, is a picturesque residential neighborhood just north of Foxhall Village. The neighborhood feels very secluded and removed from the city, as it is surrounded to the west, north, and east by parks. In addition to these parks, the Foxhall Playground is located in the middle of the neighborhood. To the south is George Washington University’s Mount Vernon campus. There are a few retail options in the area along MacArthur Boulevard NW, including a Safeway grocery store, Palisades Pizzeria and Clam Bar, and BlackSalt restaurant. Residents can easily get to the Palisades and Georgetown for a more extensive selection of dining and shopping choices.

Berkley Transportation & Location

There is no Metro station near the neighborhood, but for residents that’s one of the appealing features. The D5 and D6 Metrobus lines run on MacArthur Blvd NW and provide service to Georgetown and downtown DC. For drivers, MacArthur Blvd NW and Canal Rd NW provide direct access out to the Maryland suburbs or into Georgetown, the Key Bridge (two miles away), and downtown DC. The Chain Bridge is also about two miles away and accesses George Washington Memorial Pkwy.

Berkley is situated in Northwest DC, and its boundaries are Wesley Heights Park to the north, 44th St NW and Glover-Archbold Park to the east, Whitehaven Pkwy NW to the south, and MacArthur Blvd NW and Battery Kemble Park to the west.
