Several new restaurants have opened in recent years in the Capitol Riverfront area, including Bluejacket brewpub, Kruba Thai and Sushi, Gordon Biersch, Willie’s Brew and Que, Osteria Morini, and Agua 301. A Harris Teeter opened in the neighborhood in 2014. Capitol Riverfront Transportation & Location

There are two Metro stations that serve the neighborhood: the Navy Yard-Ballpark stop on the Green Line is centrally located and the Potomac Avenue stop, on the Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines, is at the east end. There are Metrobus lines that run through the area as well as two DC Circulator bus routes. Two Capital bikeshare stations offer residents another option to get around in the neighborhood. Interstate 695 runs through the neighborhood and leads either out to Virginia via I-395 or to the Anacostia Freeway (DC Route 295). Reagan National Airport is a 10-minute drive away.

Capitol Riverfront is located in Southeast DC, and its borders are South Capitol St SE to the west, I-695, Potomac Ave SE, and Pennsylvania Ave SE to the north, and the Anacostia River to the south.
