News on restaurants, events and things to do in Brookland for late summer and early fall.

Brookland is a vibrant neighborhood in Northeast DC with plenty of things happening over the next few weeks. For starters, fresh off their 60 Minutes interview, the Sistine Chapel choir will be stopping by the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Monroe Street Market is a massive new $200 million mixed-use development in Brookland, adjacent to the Brookland-CUA Metro station. The complex will span five city blocks at the southern edge of Catholic University on Monroe Street in Northeast.  The project aims to unite the university and the surrounding Brookland neighborhood, and promises to bring new life to an underused area of land in DC.
