Arlington View History
Arlington View sits on what was a farm called Johnson's Hill. The farm was divvied up and the quarter of it that was not sold to freedmen was sold to the Gray family. There Harry Gray built the first brick townhouse in Arlington (which still stands) and watched a solid middle-class neighborhood sprout up around it.

Arlington View does not have a Metro station, but can be easily accessed by the Pentagon City Metro on the Blue and Yellow Lines. The neighborhood is tucked between Columbia Pike (VA-244) and I-395, both of which make for quick trip to Washington DC or Alexandria.
Arlington View is bounded by S Washington Blvd to the north, S Rolfe Rd to the west, Army Navy Country Club to the south, and I-395 to the east.
