The Perla is a one of the newest mixed-use buildings planned for the Shaw neighborhood located at 810 O St NW. Previously the site of a prominent church, the cathedral was eventually torn down after approval from the Historic Preservation Review Board. Sales for the Perla are expected to start in early 2019 with construction completion in late 2019.
The nine-story building will hold 66 condos, underground parking, and thousands of square feet for retail space located at the ground level. Located at the corner of 9th and O Streets NW, residents are blocks away from shops, restaurants, Blagden Alley, parks and much more - earning the location a walk score of 97.

The Perla offers buyers 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom layouts, with or without a den. Most residences offer at least one private balcony up to 7’ X 10’. The condo sizes range from 715 to 1850 square feet and pricing starts in the mid $600s while the larger units are closer to $2M.
The Perla in Shaw is a LEED Gold certified building. Common features of these condos include 9’ ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and wide plank oak hardwood flooring. In the kitchen future residents can expect high-end finishes, such as Italian cabinetry, creamy quartz countertops, porcelain tile backsplashes, Bosch/Thermador appliances and recessed lighting. Other extras include walk-in closets, eat-in kitchens and luxurious baths.
Perla residents will be offered garage parking complete with car-charging stations, additional private storage, bicycle storage with bike wash and repair stand. The Skytop Lounge entertaining space is complete with a fire pit and daybed to soak up the sun and the surrounding cityscape. This pet-friendly building also has 24-hour concierge that will greet and direct each guest.
