Benning Heights Features & Properties
Benning Heights is a small neighborhood in Northeast DC and is one of many nearby named for prominent landowner William Benning. Though it is a small neighborhood and not able to support much in the way of commerce, it is conveniently situated near several significant landmarks. To the northwest lies Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens and it’s world-famous water lilies and to the southwest, Fort Dupont Park provides numerous forms of recreation including baseball, basketball, tennis, hiking, and biking. Over the summer Fort Dupont Park hosts a series of large-scale outdoor concerts.
Housing options in Benning Heights are somewhat varied, but are dominated by garden apartment buildings and townhouses. There is a unique cluster of duplexes that were built to appear like foursquares.

Benning Heights is serviced by the Benning Rd Metro Station on the Blue and Silver Lines. Minnesota Ave Metro Station is also nearby for those needing to travel on the Orange Line.
