Manor Park Features & Amenities

The neighborhood is home to Fort Slocum Park at its southern end, as well as Coolidge High School, its fields, and the Coolidge Recreation Center at its northern end. Kennedy St NW in the southeastern corner provides a regularly increasing number of commercial and retail options. There are also several small businesses scattered throughout the neighborhood.

Manor Park Property Values

Manor Park is the even more residential neighbor of the Takoma neighborhood. While it is close to the DC suburbs, it really provides much more of an urban residential feel than a suburban one. Most real estate in the area consists of rowhouses, as well as detached and semi-detached houses. Many of these homes have a great deal of character and are nearly 100 years old, having been built in the 1920’s.

Manor Park Transportation & Location

Although there is no Metro stop directly within the neighborhood, Manor Park sits between two easily accessible stations, Takoma (on the Red Line) and Fort Totten (where the Red Line and the Green and Yellow Lines intersect). There are also several bus lines that service the area. North Capitol St NW, Blair Rd NW, and nearby Georgia Ave NW provide good routes into downtown DC and out into Montgomery County, Maryland, and Missouri Ave NW and Riggs Rd NE offer good thoroughfares west into Rock Creek Park and east to the University of Maryland. The Capital Beltway is less than 4 miles away to the north.

While Manor Park lies within Northwest DC, and its borders are roughly Aspen St NW to the north, Blair Rd NW to the east, Missouri Ave NW to the south, and the Georgia Ave NW to the west.
