Crestwood has the best access to Rock Creek Park of any neighborhood in the city, and the Carter Barron Amphitheater and the FitzGerald Tennis Center, home of the Citi Open, are just steps away. There is plenty of shopping and entertainment nearby to the southeast in Columbia Heights, Mount Pleasant, and Petworth.

Crestwood Property Values

If seclusion in the city is what you’re looking for, the residential neighborhood of Crestwood is just the place. The area is bordered on three sides by Rock Creek Park and is characterized by large single-family homes and quiet, tree-lined streets. Crestwood has an extremely active community association with a number of events planned throughout the year. There is little turnover in the area, although when homes are available, prices tend to be more affordable than in similar neighborhoods west of Rock Creek Park.

Crestwood Transportation & Location

Isolation is the biggest draw of Crestwood, and there is no Metro stop within the neighborhood. However, the Georgia Ave-Petworth and Columbia Heights stations on the Green and Yellow Lines and the Van Ness-UDC and Cleveland Park stations are a short distance away if needed. 16th St NW provides four “S” Metrobus lines, and a convenient thoroughfare to downtown DC to the south and to Silver Spring, Maryland, and the Capital Beltway to the north. Beach Dr NW also provides a route downtown through scenic Rock Creek Park.

Crestwood is tucked away to the west of 16th Street Heights in Northwest DC. It is surrounded to the north by Colorado Ave NW and Rock Creek Park, to the west and south by Rock Creek Park, and to the east by 16th St NW.
