CitVista at 5th St NW and K St NW is the highlight of the neighborhood, with plenty of residential space as well as dining favorites Mandu, Kushi, Busboys & Poets, Taylor Gourmet, and Chipotle. There is also a Safeway grocery store in the complex. Even more amenities and commercial options await residents in nearby Logan Circle and Penn Quarter. DC’s Convention Center is located in the neighborhood, and the Verizon Center, National Mall, and U.S. Capitol building are within walking distance.

Mount Vernon Square is a neighborhood in downtown DC, which includes the city square for which it is named. Along with neighbors Shaw and Penn Quarter, the area has gone through a great revitalization since the turn of the 21st Century. Mount Vernon Square Transportation & Location
The Mount Vernon Square Metro station on the Green and Yellow Lines is located just north of the neighborhood. There are five more Metro stops within short walking distance south and east of the area, including Metro Center, Gallery Place, Judiciary Square, Union Station, and NoMa-Gallaudet U. Several bus lines run through the neighborhood, including the Georgetown-Union Station DC Circulator route. Although residents who live in the area do not need a car, Interstate 395 begins in Mount Vernon Triangle and leads either out to Virginia or to the Anacostia Freeway (DC Route 295) via I-695. New York Avenue NW runs through the neighborhood and reaches the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Maryland Route 295) in five miles.
Mount Vernon Square is situated within Northwest DC, and its boundaries are New York Ave NW to the northwest, North Capitol St NW to the east, and Massachusetts Ave NW to the southwest.
