Greenway is a lovely neighborhood and aptly named, as it runs parallel to a lengthy stretch of Anacostia Park. That stretch is the site of the Aquatic Resources Education Center, DC Urban Treehouse, the Anacostia Park Rollerskating Pavilion, and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. On the other side of the neighborhood, residents can take advantage of beautiful Fort Circle Park, which hosts several basketball and tennis courts, an ice rink, and the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy.
