The Citadel apartments in Northwest’s Adams Morgan are almost ready for delivery. The Citadel apartments are cleverly built into a converted roller skating rink above the Harris Teeter at 1631 Kalorama Road NW.
The Citadel apartments include three models, all one-bedrooms with varying floor space. The first style, ranging from the 450- to 600-square-foot Manhattan; the 700- to 825-square-foot Midtown; and the 650- to 700-square-foot Uptown, which includes an extra half bath. Pricing is not available online.
Because the architects were trying to jimmy as many apartments into the space as possible, a few of the units have no windows, but they do have skylights. Photos of the apartments show crisp renovations with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, wood floors and high ceilings. A few of the units have walk-in closets, but most have smaller closets. There are microwaves and dishwashers in the units, but no washing machines or dryers.
The Citadel apartments’ amenities include video intercom entry system, clothes care center, recycling center, all utilities included in the rent, bike storage and a fitness center. The Citadel apartments offer some reserved garage parking and allow pets and they’re close to both Dupont Metro and U Street Metro Stations.
The Adams Morgan community around the Citadel apartments is pumping with nightlife and a blend of restaurants and activity. The neighborhood borders the National Zoo and Rock Creek Park. Other homes on the market here include a one-bedroom, $364,000 condo at 1825 Columbus Road and a $319,000, one-bedroom condo at 3025 Ontario Road. But if you’re only looking to rent, you only have one more month until you can move into the Citadel apartments.
