H Street Corridor condos include several new condo projects in this Northeast section of the District like the Maia, which includes 84 one and two bedroom units.

The Maia at 1350 Maryland Avenue is a development by Valor Development on the site of the Faith Bible Church.  It’s still in planning phases and set for delivery in 2014.

The Villages at Dakota Crossing, near the Maryland-D.C. border in Northeast, will offer a slew of new condo-townhomes in the Fort Lincoln neighborhood. The Villages at Dakota Crossing, at about 3298 Fort Lincoln Drive, are about 334 units developed by Ryan Homes starting in the high $300,000s and ranging up to the lower $500,000s.

Sales of the Villages at Dakota Crossing began in late 2011 and about 145 homes have been sold so far, according to the developer’s website. The Villages at Dakota Crossing is located just of New York Avenue and Route 50 and just a few minutes’ drive to Capitol Hill.

NoMa development is really going strong, as many commuters to D.C. likely notice with the gateway of cranes in the area working on projects from condos to apartment buildings to office buildings.

Developers of the Gateway Market Center and Residences, the Union Market-area residential project, have recently made some changes to their plans, removing the office space component and adding more units, including the option for a hotel, the Washington Business Journal reports.

The Gateway Market Center and Residences project, developed by Edens Realty and Sang Oh Choi, will span 44-acres on Florida Avenue in a redevelopment project over the next 10 years.

14W Apartments recently started accepting renters into the building after a leasing period that started in February. The 14W apartments are 231 apartments located in a seven-story building at 14 Street and W Street NW, near the U Street corridor.

The 14W apartments are billed as “luxurious modern living in the hottest new community in the District,” as they’re close to Adams Morgan, Logan Circle and Columbia Heights as well as the U Street Corridor. The 14W apartments have a rooftop terrace, a fitness and yoga studio, a game room and clubroom and business center. The units have stainless steel appliances and other higher-end finishes like wide-plank flooring and quartz countertops, according to Simpson Property’s website.

Walter Reed development is forging ahead with strong momentum after nine developers responded to a request for qualifications for overhauling the Bethesda campus, according to the Washington City Paper.

Among the developers interested in Walter Reed developments are: Hines, Roadside Development, Douglas Development, Forest City and Western Development. Allied Patriot, Grid Properties, Republic Properties Corporation, Capston, Quadrangle and Wilkes Company are also very interested in putting their stamp on the property.

Petworth Flats, new condos in the Petworth area, are ready to hit the market soon, as the developers are hosting an open house on Thursday, May 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the condos at 4336 7th Street NW, on the corner of Webster Street.
