If you’re looking for something sweet, savory, fresh, bubbly or rich in history, Shaw is the place to be. There’s Canteen, a seasonal pop-up beer garden on 9th St. Enjoy 20 craft brews, snacks from Red Apron and refreshingly strong bourbon slushies.

Since last year, Shaw has its very own farmer’s market and it is thriving with delicious produce, cooking demonstrations and great people! A lot has changed since we last wrote about Union Market three years ago. There are too many vendors to name in one blog (more than 30!), but some of the more popular choices have become Co Co. Space is becoming more and more of a premium in DC, and the trends we’re seeing as spring turns into summer are certainly reflecting that. It’s a seller’s market in the District as prices continue to climb while the number of available properties have not risen to meet demand.
